FILMS 4 ALL @ THE PLAZA
'Films 4 All' is a collection of weekly film groups to help everyone in our community gain access to the latest films and enjoy the cinema experience. On Tuesdays at mid-day we have our Autism Friendly show. On Wednesdays at mid-day we have our parent and baby group called Plaza Babies. Below is information about the different shows and the current known films for the next few weeks. These shows will not be advertised with our main films and times are only available here or from the cinema itself. This also means you are unable to book tickets on our website. Feel free to pop in and chat to any of our staff for more information or for our current list of films.

TUESDAYS = Autism Friendly Cinema Showings
At Midday each Tuesday we offer our Autism Friendly Cinema Showings. With some advice from the Wessex Autistic Soceity (click here for their website - http://www.twas.org.uk/) we hope the introduction of these shows will provide a comfortable environment for those with Autism, their family and carers. Autism friendly shows are every Tuesday at 12.00am except for school holidays when they will be at 10.00am (if possible).
For these shows the house lights will remain up and the sound will be at a lower level than normal. We also would have the back part of our foyer as a quiet area with a few seats if anyone needs to come out of the screening for a few minutes.
The film would be one of our current films on site and would be held in our ground floor screen which also has easy access to anyone with limited mobility.
Tickets are £2.50 each for everyone who wishes to see the film. If you are a holder of a CEA card you can also use that to admit a carer in for free. (Visit this site for more information or pop in to pick up an application form - http://www.ceacard.co.uk/)
We hope this is an opportunity for those who may not visit the cinema often to be in a safe and comfortable environment and to meet new friends and become part of our every growing Plaza community.
Current Autism Friendly Programme
No Shows - Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, Feb 28 there will not be any shows due to half term and 2 weeks of extensive building work to develop screen 4. These shows should resume on Tues March 6

WEDNESDAYS = Plaza Babies - Our Parent and Baby group at the Plaza
Plaza Babies is our Wednesday afternoon parent and baby group for the Plaza. It offers mums and dads the chance to see the latest films by bringing their little one with them without fear of disturbing the film.
The films range depending on what we currently have on site, but we try to show a wide variety of the latest films. The films would always be rated 12A or under.
The group meets on a Wednesday afternoon with the show starting at 12.00 with just a few adverts and trailers. The house lights are kept up and the sound is set on a lower level so your baby should be in a comfortable environment. There is also plenty of room for your prams, buggies and baby changing as It is held in our ground floor screen (Screen 2). We also have a sloped side entrance if needed so you have have ease of access.
Any parent (or parents) with a child under the age of 36 months is welcome. As different children take in images and sound in different ways at various ages, some 12A films may not be as suitable for older children (2-3 years) as they can contain mild scary or rude moments, however this decision lies up to you.
Tickets for parents are £2.50 and your baby joins you for free. This show is NOT open to any other customers customers, only parents with babies. Tickets are only available at the box office on the day, and the show will not be in our main listings on our website.

Ground Floor Screen showings
Two of our screens are up several flights of stairs due to the long history of our building, however in December 2010 we opened our ground floor screen. This means at all times on of our films be in our ground floor screen and will have full access to those in wheel chairs or low mobility. We also have a side entrance to the foyer which is up a slight ramp for those who may struggle with our front door stairs.
Here we will put which films are screening in our ground floor screen. In some rare instances the screens may be swapped depending how popular a film is however this part of the website will be changed as soon as we know and alerts will be on our twitter and facebook.

Please Note - all 'Live @ the Plaza' events will be held in our screen 1 (up 3 flights of stairs) unless it clashes with a private booking or stated here.
